Sim, fazemos sessões de noivado e, caso nos seleccionem para sermos os fotógrafos do vosso casamento, a sessão será oferta. Também fazemos sessões de família e de gravidez. Yes, we offer engagement sessions and, in case we are the selected photographers for you wedding, the session is free. We also offer family and pregnancy sessions.

QUANTAS FOTOGRAFIAS ENTREGAM? HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU DELIVER?

Habitualmente, entregamos cerca de 700 a 800 fotografias por um dia inteiro. Normally between 700 to 800 images for a full day.

EDITAM TODAS AS FOTOGRAFIAS? DO YOU EDIT ALL PHOTOS?

Sim, trabalhamos todas as fotografias que entregamos. Yes, every image is fully edited by us.

QUANDO RECEBEREMOS AS NOSSAS FOTOGRAFIAS? WHEN WILL WE GET OUR PHOTOS?

A entrega total de todas as fotografias acontecerá entre 3 a 4 meses, no entanto, dentro de 2 a 3 semanas após o casamento terão acesso a uma galeria online (protegida por password) com cerca de um terço de todas as fotografias a serem entregues. Full delivery will occur within 3 to 4 months, however, just 2 to 3 weeks after the wedding you will have access to an online gallery (password protected) with about 1 third of the edited photographs.

TAMBÉM ENTREGAM ÁLBUNS? DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS?

Sim, entregamos álbuns fine art. O álbum standard (30 x 30 cm) tem 60 páginas e o design é feito por nós com base numa selecção feita pelos noivos de cerca de 100 fotografias. Também entregamos álbuns mais pequenos (20 x 20 cm) para os pais, que são réplicas do álbum dos noivos. The standard album (30 x 30 cm) has 60 pages and we make the design from your selection of about 100 photographs from the wedding. O nosso serviço de reportagem de casamento inclui 14 horas, mas podem sempre requerer horas extra se acharem necessário. Our wedding pack include 14-hour service. We will be with you from the preparations to the cutting cake and party. You can also request extra hours if you feel the need.

Antes da reserva, recomendamos a realização de uma reunião para nos conhecermos, falarmos sobre os detalhes do vosso casamento e para clarificar possíveis dúvidas ou questões que tenham. Depois, para reservar a data, requeremos um contracto assinado e o pagamento de um sinal. Before booking we recommend a meeting to work out details and clarify other questions. Nós somos o Luis e a Marta e somos os fotógrafos da Lounge Fotografia. Somos um jovem casal, que vive no Porto, com um enorme amor pela fotografia e pelos casamentos. Embora jovens já contamos com cerca de 10 anos de experiência.
Fotografamos cada casamento de um modo único, documentando todos os detalhes com um ponto de vista descontraído.

A nossa assinatura é criar fotografias naturais e românticas. O nosso estilo de fotografia é provavelmente melhor descrito como uma mistura de estilos, reportagem fotojornalistica e fine art, ou seja, passamos a maior parte do tempo tirando fotos discretas dos acontecimentos que se vão desenrolando, mas também podemos dirigir de forma suave e subtil em outros momentos como nos retratos dos noivos juntos.

Usamos uma abordagem fine art na nossa fotografia para criar imagens belas e cheias de luz que evocam sentimentos de emoção e beleza. We are Luis and Marta and we are the photographers of Lounge Photography. We are a young couple, who lives in the city of Porto, Portugal, with a huge love for photography and for weddings. Although we are young people we already have about 10 years experience.

We photograph each wedding in a unique way, documenting every detail with a relaxed point of view.

Our signature is to create natural and romantic photographs. Our style of photography is probably best described as a mixture of styles, photojournalistic and fine art, we spent most of the time taking pictures in a unobtrusive way, but we can also direct smoothly and subtly in other times as in the portraits of the bride and groom.

We use a fine art approach to our photography to create beautiful images and full of light that evoke feelings of emotion and beauty. Capturing small details and important moments, we are blessed to have the opportunity to photograph the most important day of a couple. We would be honored to know you and being an important part of your wedding day.

We are Forged in the North, a husband + wife photography duo (formerly known as “Ryan & Heidi Studio”). All our work is a result of places we’ve been and couples we’ve fallen in love with. We may ask you to climb a tree or hike a dirt trail, because we aren’t satisfied until we know something can’t be done any better. Most of all, we want to tell a story. And you are the story. THE GOODS

When its all said and done, what do you end up with? For starters, we put all of your photos and/or videos up on our print shop – a convenient way to share your day with anyone who couldn’t make it, or all those aunts who keep asking to see your wedding photos. All your stuff on the print shop is free for anyone to download and high-quality prints are super affordable. In addition to the print shop, you’ll get a nifty little package from us containing a thumb drive of all the files and blu-ray + dvd if we shot video. Don’t worry, if you want to take the images somewhere to print, that’s totally fine too.

 

 

 

To be completely honest with you, our albums are ridiculously good. You don’t have to get one, but you might be missing out. We use the highest quality printer and there are tons of cover materials to choose from. For pricing and more info on these, shoot us an email and we’ll give you the scoop.

Do you travel for weddings?
All the time.

 

Do you give discounts for weddings in cool locations?
You bet.

 

How many weddings have you shot?
We lost count after a hundred.

 

Who shot all the work on the front page + blog?
Everything you see on this website is the work of Ryan and/or Heidi. Sometimes we shoot together, sometimes we shoot separately.

 

How many photos do we get in the end?
Usually its somewhere around a thousand – edited with our coloring and style one at a time.
And you get all of those in full res on a thumb drive.

 

Is there an easy way for all the guests to see all the final photos and/or video?
Super easy. You get your own gallery on our print shop that anyone can view, share, download, or order prints.

 

Can I see some full galleries?
Absolutely. Shoot us a note at hello@forgedinthenorth.com and we can find you weddings that might be a closer match to yours.

 

What kind of cameras do you shoot with?
We shoot primarily with Canon DSLR’s. Instant Polaroid and 35mm film available on request.

 

For video, do we get all the raw footage too?
Definitely. Everything we shoot from both cameras all day.

 

Do we have rights to print our photos?
For sure. You can use our print shop or you can print them on your own.

 

How long does it take to get all our photos and/or video?
At most 12 weeks, but usually it’s sooner than that and we try to get you some preview shots right away.

 

Do you have business insurance?
Yes. Sometimes the venue requires this, so just let us know and we’ll be happy to provide it.

 

What types of payment do you accept?
Check, credit card, wire transfer, cash, paypal, and burritos.

 

What is required to officially book you?
A signed contract and 50% deposit, all of which can be done online.
